SITE INVESTIGATION

First and probably most critical part of any wind farm project development is analysis of location, including collecting MET ocean data, environmental assessment, and geological site survey. Collected data is crucial for making decisions on type of foundations, installation methods and overall project operations and maintenance schedules. Windpal provides tailor made turnkey solutions for site investigations starting from engineering and proposed wind farm layout, preparation of investigation campaigns, conducting surveys including lab testing and finishing with interpretation reports and 3D ground modelling.

PRE-DEVELOPMENT STAGE

Collecting MET Ocean data is one of the first "on-site" investigations to be performed by any developer in order to evaluate the suitability of a site and ultimately, feasibility of the project development. In most cases, data includes wind parameters, currents, waves, weather conditions using floating LIDAR bouys., Windpal is providing floating LIDARs services in cooperation with well-established and experienced global provider EOLOS.
